TUI expands in Australia with latest acquisition

TUI Travel is to acquire escorted adventure tour specialist, Adelaide-based Adventure Tours Australia.
It will become part of subsidiary OzXposure and sister brand TrekAmerica.

The move is designed to further enhance the company’s small group adventure offering in Australasia.
Adventure Tours Australia also includes Australian brands Outback Safaris, Wayward Bus, Oz Experience and Wilderness 4WD Adventures plus Adventure Tours New Zealand.

ATA is well-known for its outback tours on the Darwin to Adelaide route via Alice Springs, as well as for accommodated tours on the east coast.
TrekAmerica/OzXposure managing director Martyn Shapter said: “This addition undoubtedly gives the consumer far greater choice.
“People will be able to travel with us throughout Australia and New Zealand across all our brands and can go pretty well anywhere they want with our group of companies. It truly means we are a one-stop shop for Down Under travel.”
