Vietnam Airlines launching new route to Macau
Vietnam Airlines will inaugurate a new route next month linking Hanoi and Asia’s gambling hotspot Macau.
It becomes the airline’s 17th route in Greater China when it launches daily service on December 15, 2019.
The carrier also serves nearby cities Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, which begins later this month.
Vietnam Airlines will also roll out promotional fares to mark the new route with round trip tickets from US$69 before tax.
China is Vietnam’s biggest tourism source market, accounting for nearly a third of all foreign tourist arrivals.
There is even more traffic in the opposite direction out of Vietnam.
More than 6.3 million Vietnamese travellers visited China last year, which has doubled in only two years.
