Celebrity Edge to feature Garden of Eden

Sunday, 29 Jun, 2017 0

Celebrity Cruises has teased more details of its latest ship Celebrity Edge, with the unveiling of Eden.

Eden is the three-level dining and lifestyle venue featuring nearly 650 square meters of glass.

At its heart is dining and entertainment which ranges from ‘performance art, culinary exploration and nightlife,’ the line says.

It also serves as a venue for yoga, seminars and wine tasting, depending on the time of day.

The space also houses the Library of Plants, a five meter tall garden that supplies Eden Bar with fresh cocktail ingredients.

"Eden, like so many aspects of Celebrity Edge, represents a unique advance in cruise ship design," said Richard D. Fain, chairman and CEO of parent Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

"It’s an experience that’s multi-faceted and innovative. Connectivity to the ocean is one of the most exciting hallmarks of Edge Class, and with more glass than any other room at sea, Eden embodies that outward-facing concept beautifully."

In keeping with the playful design, food will also have an edge, with ‘performance art cuisine—immersive, sensory, visual, fun and delicious,’ said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO.

"The entire space is magical throughout morning, afternoon, and evening when our guests will experience Eve at Eden," Lutoff-Perlo said.
