China Southern Airlines to launch nonstop Budapest flights
China Southern Airlines will launch direct Budapest flights from Guangzhou starting this summer.
China Southern will operate four-times weekly Budapest flights on long-haul Dreamliner jets from 27 June.
“It’s a great pleasure to welcome China Southern Airlines to Budapest and to introduce Guangzhou, one of China’s major hubs, as a new and exciting destination,” says Balázs Bogáts, CCO, Budapest Airport.
“This announcement introduces our fifth Chinese destination. This new route will open a myriad of onward connections to Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.”
Joining services to Beijing, Chongqing, Ningbo, Shanghai, the airport will offer almost 250,000 roundtrip seats to China this summer.
Weekly nonstop flights between the two countries will increase from 13 to 17 with these new flights.
The airline’s base at Guangzhou serves as a hub for onward travel to Australia and New Zealand, as well as offering Budapest’s passengers convenient options within China and Asia.
