Former Avro sales chief joins low cost carrier

Friday, 11 Apr, 2006 0

Garry Barone has become head of UK sales at Swedish low fares airline FlyMe.

He was previously head of sales for Avro and more recently interim sales manager at China Eastern.

The appointment follows the carrier launching Stansted-Gothenburg flights last month.

Barone said “FlyMe represent the ‘trade friendly face of the low cost model’, with the web based booking engine accessed by agents via a log-in. Gothenburg is a hugely attractive city and has a great deal to offer to the short-break market.”
