Hong Kong agent training goes online
A Hong Kong Specialist online training programme for agents has been launched by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
The programme at www.SpecialistHK.com is designed to help agents keep their product knowledge up-to-date, capitalise on latest product offerings and promote Hong Kong to clients.
Agents successfully completing the online training course will receive official identification as a Hong Kong Specialist, dedicated sales support from the HKTB and a regular e-newsletter.
They will also receive invitations to HKTB promotions and events dedicated to selling Hong Kong, as well as being eligible for familiarisation trips.
Four core modules – Why Sell Hong Kong?, What To Sell In Hong Kong, How To Sell Hong Kong and Essential Fast Facts – help to build a comprehensive understanding of the destination.
HKTB Northern Europe & Middle East director Richard Hume said: “In an ever-more competitive environment, the successful travel agents will be those who speak authoritatively and can offer their clients expert advice.
“At a time when Hong Kong is attracting more visitors from the UK than ever before, our new online Hong Kong Specialist programme will give agents all the tools they need to clinch those lucrative bookings – the information is literally at their fingertips.”
