Visitors continue to break records in Hawaii
Hawaii continues drawing record numbers of visitors, reports the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.
In the latest figures, Hawaii had almost 600,000 visitors for October, a new record.
So far this year, Hawaii’s visitation is up almost 7% over last year.
Hawaii tourism officials reported the “best first ten months result of any year on record.”
Cruise visitors also increased more than 50% in the first ten months of this year, with 247,426 passengers arriving here.
The visitors were aboard 42 out-of-state cruise ships. Two US-flagged ships that home port in Hawaii are the Pride of Aloha and the recently added Pride of America.
Repeat visitors to Hawaii made up more than 54% of the out-of-state cruise visitors.
